Scootin’ boots on Sunday nights

Six concerts are scheduled during the spring and summer months as part of the 2023 Marktplatz Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance (PCAA) Musical Evenings Series.

Throughout the spring and summer, the PCAA holds their Musical Evenings Series at Marktplatz, featuring a variety of styles of live music.

There is no admission charge to the concerts, which are held at the Adelsverein Halle on Marktplatz.

Each concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring their lawn chairs, picnics, family and friends.

The series opens on April 30 with the Fredericksburg High School Jazz Ensemble and ends with Bob Appel on Sept. 17.

The final concert is designed to “put everyone in the mood” for Oktoberfest, which will celebrate its 42nd celebration Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

A repertoire that includes jazz, country, big band, western swing and variety dance will be performed at the concerts.

These PCAA concerts are funded by proceeds from Oktoberfest as a way of thanking the community for their support and for those who volunteer at Oktoberfest.
