Fredericksburg has a history of fine art, and has been home to highly collected artists such as Charles Beckendorf and G. Harvey. Currently, numerous high-quality fine art galleries exist along Main Street, throughout downtown and within a short driving distance from town.
On the first Friday of each month, many of the local art galleries open for special hours for the First Friday Art Walk, where visitors can enjoy refreshments in the galleries, and sometimes view art demonstrations or meet the artists.

Charles Morin has been a a collector of vintage items since he was 14 years old. Morin’s gallery displays some of Texas’ most collected historical artists, with an emphasis on early Texas oil paintings.

The Fredericksburg Art Guild is a nonprofit organization with a mission to educate, encourage, promote and cultivate the creation of fine arts throughout the Texas Hill Country.
