With that history comes all the souls still lurking, and the Haunted Fredericksburg Ghost Walk is there to introduce you to all of them.
Created by Derek Spence, the tour begins at 8:30 p.m. Fridays and 8:30 and 9 p.m. Saturdays. The adult price to attend the walk is $22, and the price for kids (10 and up) and seniors is $18. Children under 6 are free.
A tour is also available to include the Old Jail in Fredericksburg, a building sure to send chills down your spine. Prices for the walk and jail tour combo are $32 for adults and $28 for kids over the age of 10. Group, private and corporate tours are also available.
Tours begin at the Admiral Nimitz statue at the corner of East Main and Washington streets.
The tour includes tales centered around the Nimitz Museum, hauntings of buildings on Main Street and stories about the old Keidel Hospital and the old jail.
The tour is also BYOB, so attendees can sip while they learn about Fredericksburg’s haunted history.
