Drop in at the Fredericksburg Skate Park

Skaters and bikers have a safe place to ply their trade in Fredericksburg. Until 2015, riders of all ages were practicing tricks in the gym and drain ditches at Hill Country Evangelical Free Church, where associate pastor and youth minister Kelly Graham opened doors to a crowd with nowhere to go.

In 2015, the Fredericksburg Morning Rotary Club built the park for $325,000, decked out with bowls and rails.

Portland, Oregon-based Evergreen Skate Parks, run by longtime boarders Bill and Catherine Coulson, designed the 24,000-square-foot park.

The City of Fredericksburg maintains the park, which can be entered at Old Fair Park near H-E-B.
