The event will feature Texas food, wine and craft beer with a mix of top vintners, gourmands and music, along with some special events.
Twenty-two Texas wineries will be on hand pouring over 100 wines. Guests will have an opportunity to visit with some of the wine makers and learn about their wine.
Joining the event this year are Ab Astris Winery, Becker Vineyard, Blue Lotus Winery, Fiesta Winery, FlorVino, Four I’s Winery, Grape Creek Vineyard, Hilmy Cellars, Invention Vineyards, Kfire Winery, Llano Estacado, Lost Draw, McPherson Cellars, Messina Hof Winery, O’Farrell Country Vineyards, Rhinory, Rusty Hook Winery, Texas Heritage Vineyard, Texas Hills Vineyards, Texas Mead Works, Valley Mills Vineyards and Wedding Oak Winery.
For beer drinkers, a selection of craft beers will also be available.
A variety of Texas-made products will be onhand for sampling and purchase. Participating vendors include Ambriz Jewelry, Avalon Jewelry, Bells Bangles, Chocolatte’s, Chuckwagon Nutcakes, CKC Farms, Eric Fasking Fine Art, Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods, Fredericskburg Farms, Gourmet Texas Pasta, Other Mother Vinegar, Pecan Tree Soap Company, Rocky Top Sauces, Rough Creek Lavender, Sweetie’s Cheesecakes, Teardrop Pepper Company, Texas Hill Country Olive Company, Ruby Lee Clark/Louise Murphy, Texas Olive Ranch, Texas Treasures by Patti, The Peachy Llama, Whiskey Morning Coffee, Wild & Well Kombucha, Wine Bottle Lights and Zonta Club of Fredericksburg.
Grape Expectations Cooking School
One main highlight of the festival is the Grape Expectations Cooking School. There will be four sessions held on Saturday starting at 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Each session will showcase an award-winning Texas chef paired with a Texas winery.
Seating is limited to 125 persons per session and the cost is $75 per person for all four sessions, plus admission into the Fest.
Go Texan! Dinner
The Go! Texan Dinner will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26 at Messina Hof Hill Country.
Guests will be served five courses, each paired with Messina Hof wines.
This event is catered by Bryans on 290 Restaurant Johnson City and begins at 6 p.m. More information about the courses being served is available on the Food and Wine Fest web-site.
Celebration of Texas Wine & Food at Becker Vineyards
A Celebration of Texas Wine & Food will be held Friday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Becker Vineyards.
Catering the event will be Vivere Catering. It is an opportunity for guests to enjoy a wide selection of Texas Wines and hors d’oeuvres.
Patron Brunch on Marktplatz
The Patron Brunch will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Marktplatz.
The event will be catered by Delicious Details. Patrons will receive lots of goodies and surprises.
General admission is $25 for adults, $5 for ages 6-21 and free for children under the age of six. Tickets to all events are limited and available online or by calling 830-997-8515.

• Ben Beckendorf Blues Band – Noon-2 p.m.
• Little Elmo and the Mambo Kings – 2:30- 4:30 p.m.
• Jess Stratton Band - 5-7 p.m.
• Gargantuan Great Grape Toss – 2-2:30 p.m. and 4:30-5 p.m.
