NEW SPLASHPAD GIVES KIDS A COOL SPOT TO ESCAPE SUMMER HEAT
KEEPING IT COOL

T he City of Fredericksburg has a new splashpad located behind the Coach Tony Knopp Town Pool between West Schubert and West Travis streets.

Entry to the splashpad is free. It is open seasonally, operating Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday hours noon to 5 p.m. The splashpad is closed for cleaning on Mondays.

Hours are subject to change, based on staff availability. Holiday hours may vary, as well.

The restrooms at Town Pool will be made available during splashpad hours. The splashpad is expected to be open through September, weather permitting.

Follow the city’s social media channels for updates.

Town Pool entry will remain $2 per person, and hours of operation will be released later this month.

“The splashpad construction was fully funded by a donation from Fredericksburg Morning Rotary Club and their generous community-minded benefactors,” said a spokesman for the city. “The City of Fredericksburg would like to thank the Morning Rotary Club for their continued support for parks projects.”
