T he aroma of Cajun cooking will fill the air in Fredericksburg in late May, at the 2024 Crawfish Festival.
FREDERICKSBURG GETS A CAJUN INVASION

Sponsored by the Fredericksburg Jaycees, the 26th annual Crawfish Festival is held Memorial Day weekend every year at Marktplatz.

A family friendly event, the festival features a crawfish boil, complete with crawfish, potatoes, corn and sausage offered for different prices.

This year, the festival is scheduled for May 24-26, with prices starting at $12 on Friday, $15 on Saturday and $10 on Sunday. Kids ages 6-12 can get tickets for $5 and kids five and under are free. Two- and three-day passes are available.

The event will start at 6 p.m. Friday, run until midnight, start again on Saturday at 11 a.m., run through midnight and then wrap up on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

In addition to the food, the event will also feature live music, arts and crafts and a carnival for the kids.
