FOOD & WINE FEST PAIRS TOP TEXAS BITES AND DRINKS
T he 2024 Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Marktplatz.
The event will feature Texas food, wine and craft beer with a mix of top vintners, gourmands and music, along with some special events.
More than 45 Texas wineries, distilleries and breweries plus more than 75 food and beverage vendors will be on site.
The Grand Tasting event will run from 1-5:30 p.m., allowing guests to participate in culinary experiences and sample a variety of beverages. For those looking to extend the experience, the festival also offers a variety of add-on events.
Add-on: The Street Dinner
The Food and Wine Fest’s inaugural Street Dinner, in partnership with the Fredericksburg Convention & Visitor Bureau will take place Friday, Oct. 25 from 6-10 p.m.
The evening will begin with welcome cocktails by Dietz Distillery and Heath Sparkling Wines, featuring appetizers from Hill & Vine.
Following cocktails, the second course will be provided by Otto’s German Bistro, paired with wine from William Chris Vineyards.
Hill Country Herb Garden and Michael Ros Winery will provide the third course, followed by a fourth course from Revel Kitchen + Catering paired with Augusta Vin wines.
Finally, dessert will be provided by Keidel Pharmacy, paired with a Garrison Brothers’ Small Batch pour.
Additional tickets are required, $250 per person.
Add-on: Vino Vinyasa with Hye Thai
This add-on experience combines yoga and wine, in a 40-minute, all-level yoga class, ending with a comparative wine tasting featuring Heath Sparkling Wines. Following the class, guests can expect mingling, more beverages and bites from Hye Thai.
The event at Marktplatz will run from 9-10:30 a.m. and requires an additional ticket, $50 per person.
Family Friendly Pasture to Palate
This free, family-friendly event will feature the OroBianco Water Buffalo Petting Area, gelato and artisanal coffee from Sure Shot.
OroBianco will also be giving away 100 children’s T-shirts and coupons for 10% off gelato at OroBianco, valid throughout the day on Oct. 26.
The event will take place at The Henning Lot, across from Marktplatz, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Add-on: The Fischer & Wieser Waterfront Brunch This culinary experience at Das Peach Haus is set against the backdrop of the Fischer & Wieser farmstead. Attendees can expect brunch cocktails, wine and brunchy bites.
Food stations will feature dishes from chicken and waffles to lamb barbacoa tacos to pastries. This event will also feature live music, and requires an additional ticket, available at $125 per person. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.
Augusta Vin VIP Lounge
For those who purchase a VIP or Weekender badge, a ‘mini-Augusta Vin’ experience will be available, featuring wines, exclusive bites and a special Augusta Vin swag bag.
Heath Sparkling Garden
During the 2024 festival, all badge holders will have the opportunity to savor four of Heath’s limitedproduction, vintage sparkling wines. Garden bite and Italian ice pairings, by Piccolina, will also be available.
Joanna’s Market by Signore Vineyards
At this pop-up market, attendees can enjoy culinary items, home décor and Signor’s red and white wines.
Texas Wine Auction’s Grand Tasting Pavilion In addition to regular tasting opportunities, over 30 wineries will be auctioning off five cases of wine each, to support the Texas Wine Auction’s mission This collaborative lounge experience, complete with live music, brings together Fredericksburg Cast Iron, Garrison Brothers Bourbon, Hill & Vine and Eaker Barbecue.

Burgers, Bourbon & Barbecue
Hill & Vine smash burger bites and Eaker Barbecue sliders will be prepared on Fredericksburg Cast Iron skillets, served alongside Garrison Brothers mini cocktails and neat tastings from the Hill & Vine Das Bar Bus.
El Quincho Asador Argentino
Presented by Revel Kitchen + Catering, this woodfired outdoor kitchen serves Argentinian grills and from a pizza oven.
Bistro tables with shade will be available to enjoy Argentinian flavors from Las Pampas Argentinas, alongside musical selections from Chuck Wehner of Moving in Stereo.
Culinary Demo Stage
All badge holders can reserve a limited seat at the demo stage for one of four educational experiences from Jesse Griffiths of Dai Due, Michael Fojtasek and Justin Spencer of Junebug’s, Gus Beuershausen of Leroy’s Tex Mex BBQ or Hunter Huffman of Mesquite at the Warehouse.
Uncork Texas Wine Beverage Demo Stage Uncork Texas Wine, a wine marketing program created by the Texas Department of Agriculture, is presenting several programs for guests to enjoy.
• Herbalist Lauren Peterson of Hill Country Herb Garden;
• Junebug’s, The Saloon & The Pharmacy by Albert Hotel;
• Chase Guthrie and Travis King of Chase’s Place.
For an additional fee, two additional programs: Cheese and Wine Pairing by Antonelli’s Cheese and the Wine Blending Competition by Becker Vineyards, are available to guests.
Water Wheel Beer Garden
This area of the festival features Hill Country brews, paired with small bites. A pretzel necklace bar will also be available for a tasty and wearable treat.
Distillery District
This area features a wide range of vodka, gin, sotol, tequila, bourbon and whiskey from various vendors. These spirits will be paired with bites from Hill Country chefs.
General admission badges are $100 for residents of Fredericksburg and surrounding areas, or $150 for visitors. VIP badges are $295 and include early access to the event and to the Augusta Vin VIP lounge, as well as air-conditioned restrooms and a gift.
