A 65-person choir atop a 30-foot-tall lighted Christmas tree entertains holiday crowds in December.
The annual singing Christmas tree will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7-8 on the grounds of Pioneer Museum.
The family concert is free, and donations are accepted. Attendees may enter the museum grounds via the side gate on Milam Street. Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
The event is sponsored by the Gillespie County Historical Society and Fredericksburg United Methodist Church and made possible by a grant from the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance.
The one-hour concert features traditional music, German carols and sing-alongs.
In German, the project is called Der Singende Weihnachtsbaum.
Pioneer Museum is located at 325 West Main Street. For more information, visit pioneermuseum.org.
