F ort Martin Scott, on the eastern edge of Fredericksburg on the old Pinta Trail, has a rich history of diverse groups of people that shaped Fredericksburg, Gillespie County and the Texas Hill Country.

T he Vereins Kirche (Society Church) is a unique landmark in the center of downtown Fredericksburg. The octagonal building is owned and managed by the Gillespie County Historical Society (GCHS).

T he Historic Jail is a glimpse back in time into Fredericksburg’s history. The jail sits at 117 W. San Antonio St. and is the fourth Gillespie County Jail, built in 1885.
