Fredericksburg Art Guild

Description

The Fredericksburg Art Guild is a nonprofit organization with a mission to educate, encourage, promote and cultivate the creation of fine arts throughout the Texas Hill Country. Many local artists are members of the guild. Each month, Fredericksburg Art Guild features an Artist of the Month. The gallery also features an All-Member Show during the year. Dates for their events can be found at the gallery website.

Purple Shack Makers Gallery The Purple Shack Makers Gallery is located at the Enchanted Fredericksburg Ranch, north of Fredericksburg near Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. The gallery features a collection of Texas artists, with an emphasis on functional art. Fiber art, jewelry, glass art, pottery and photography can all be found at this eclectic gallery. Purple Shack Makers Gallery is a worthy visit during a drive to Enchanted Rock, or for anyone seeking a unique art experience. Visitors should call to set an appointment to view the gallery.
Dietz Distillery Opening in November, Dietz Distillery will be the newest spirits player on the scene. Dietz Fischer held an internship at Garrison Bros., then traveled to Austria to study smallscale distilleries, eventually earning his diploma in distilling from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in Scotland. Fischer brings that vision of high-quality, small-batch spirits out of his family farm to his vision. Peach and pear brandies will be among his varieties. Cocktails, samples and tours available.
